Hello Bar has a long history of exceeding customer expectations and delivering solutions that people need. And we've done it again!
We're talking about our latest feature, Hello Bar Inline.
This is a feature that allows you to add lead capture forms and calls to action to your blog posts and other content. We don't mean a top banner or a sidebar form, but actual embedded forms that are placed within your content.
You can tailor them to fit the topic and context of your content and place them throughout your content. This makes your CTO feel like native content, which tends to drive more engagement and conversions.
So, what is Hello Bar Inline, how to use it and why did we decide to implement this feature?
You will find all these answers and much more in this detailed article. Let's get started.
Why did we create Hello Bar?
In 2012, it was really hard to create a website . There weren't endless website building tools, and making simple changes to a website was difficult and time-consuming.
At the time, a friend of mine owned a fast-growing digital design and development agency called Digital Telepathy (later renamed Telepathy Poland Email Database and acquired by Service Now). At the time, the agency's clients were frequently asking them to add a way to make announcements on their websites.
E-commerce companies wanted to announce that they had cool new products to sell. Software companies wanted to let their customers and prospects know that they had introduced new features. Influencers wanted to provide updates on upcoming events or new books or articles they were releasing.
And well, it wasn't easy to do.
Then you would have to ask the developer to add something to the site to make such announcements. Or you would have to create a new blog post.
So, Hello Bar It was originally created so that website owners could quickly inform their audience about new features, updates, events and anything else that came to their mind.
Hello Bar was named because it was a simple widget that sat at the top of a page. It was easy to add to a site, easy to see, and beautifully designed. And it immediately went viral.
Tim Ferriss added Hello Bar. Seth Godin Purchase Email Leads added Hello Bar. Eric Ries added Hello Bar. E-commerce companies added one. Hundreds of thousands of blogs added one. And pretty soon, Hello Bar was everywhere you looked.
Over the years, Hello Bar became widely known and many imitators emerged. We were flattered (and sometimes annoyed) that so many companies tried to copy what we did. And yet, we remained dedicated to one thing… helping large companies and entrepreneurs build better relationships with their website visitors.
In an effort to provide companies with the ability to engage their website visitors in new and effective ways, we have implemented several types of pop-ups with different placements on the web page.
Fast forward to today, and we now enable companies around the world to place a small piece of code on their websites and turn their visitors into email subscribers , customers, leads, social media followers, and more.
In addition to Hello Bars, our customers can now easily and affordably add popups and forms to their page in a variety of places. We have top bars, bottom bars, corner blocks, and more. And we continue to focus on keeping Hello Bar simple, accessible, and fun to use.
